From time to time I will be presenting a video on Celtic subjects. This first offering is a BBC series hosted by Neil Oliver and is nearly four hours long: A History of Celtic Britain -- enjoy, and have a great weekend!
i have seen this already and it is a great program.i like neil oliver,he is almost as passionate about ancient britain and the celts in general as you are john,i said almost. kyri.
LOL! I agree, while there are a few details that I would argue with, the whole show is excellent and gives a very good overview of a long period where we can we can see the society changing to meet new conditions. I do think that the Celts were not quite as new to the classical world as the show implies -- they were, after all, all over various parts of the Greek world when Rome was still a "tribal" town! It didn't mention that the Atrebates were a Gaulish tribe (Commios being actually Gaulish and a former ally of Caesar's) -- but details...
